
The old Pt. Loma lighthouse was built atop the hill on Pt. Loma, near San Diego. The designers didn't take into account that the coastal fog often obscures the top of the hill. The lighthouse was later replaced by the new Pt. Loma lighthouse, down at the foot of the hill.
